At UDUYARS, we believe that science should speak the language of the people, and nothing does that better than art. That’s why we held the UDUYARS AMR Art Exhibition and Creative Contest. This youth-led initiative used the power of painting, poetry, drama, calligraphy, spoken word, and visual storytelling to communicate the urgent threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

While scientific facts can often feel distant or technical, art connects. It turns statistics into stories and complex health issues into something real. More than 500 participants, including over 100 secondary school and university students, joined us to explore how AMR threatens our future creatively and how their voices can help stop it. The exhibition brought together schools such as Brilliant Footsteps International Academy, Blue Crescent Schools, and Federal Government College Sokoto, all of which honoured us with their brightest creative minds.
Our deepest appreciation goes to every teacher, colleague, and student who helped make this program such a powerful moment of awareness, education, and youth empowerment. This project reminded us that AMR is not just a medical issue; it’s a social one. And when young people use their talents to tell that story, change becomes possible.
