Knowledge Exchange and Public Events
At UDUYARS, we organize events that bring people together to learn, connect, and act on the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance. We have hosted AMR symposiums and panel discussions that bring students, researchers, and healthcare professionals into the same room to exchange ideas and push for practical solutions.
In one of our flagship symposiums, we brought together students from medical, environmental, and social science backgrounds to explore AMR through One Health lenses.
These events help us share new research, connect disciplines, and inspire collective action.
We also create platforms that blend science and creativity to reach wider audiences. Our AMR Art Exhibition has featured paintings, poetry, and spoken word performances by undergraduates and secondary school students who used their talents to translate complex health challenges into powerful messages.
Ultimately, our public events give youth the space to lead, speak up, and influence change in their communities.
UDUYARS SYMPOSIUM
The UDUYARS AMR Symposium brought together students, scientists, and health experts in one of Nigeria’s largest youth-led gatherings on Antimicrobial Resistance. We integrated expert panel discussion, creative performances, and cross-disciplinary learning to address AMR using a one-health approach.
UDUYARS ART EXHIBITION
We hosted the first-ever Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Art Exhibition in Sokoto, marking another milestone in the movement to make science more accessible, engaging, and relatable through creativity
World AMR AWARENESS WEEK (WAAW)
To us, World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) is more than an annual campaign. It’s a youth-driven movement that connects global messages to local realities. At UDUYARS, we inspire collective action against AMR and empower people to make informed health choices in this week and beyond.
